Byron E. Deeter, 85, of Sidney, Ohio and formerly of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Sunday, December 28, 2003 at 11:55PM at the Dorothy Love Retirement Center in Sidney, Ohio. He was born on August 23, 1918 in Pleasant Hill, Ohio to the late Emry and Grace Sollenberger Deeter. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, June Esther Ditmer Deeter and two children, Robert Deeter of Hermiston, Oregon and Richard Deeter and his wife Wendy, of Lake Forest, Illinois. He has three grandchildren, Christine, Casey and Tucker Deeter. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Mr. Deeter was a member at the First Presbyterian Church in Troy, serving as Elder, Trustee and Treasurer in both Troy and Sandusky, Ohio. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of Ohio C.P.A. He was a US Army Veteran during WWII. He graduated from Covington High School and attended Ohio State University. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
