BUDDY DUANE GANGER, age 87, of Troy, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Wilson Health in Sidney.  He was born on February 20, 1933 in Union Township, OH to the late Albert Ganger and Jesse (Norris) Ganger Hissong.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 66 years: Ida (Durnell) Ganger; four children: Kenton L. Ganger of Ft. Wayne, IN, Clyde E. (Tamara Baynard) Ganger of Troy, OH, Michael A. (Teresa) Ganger of Sidney, OH and Sandra K. Adkins of Tipp City, OH; seven grandchildren: Cody (Kristy) Adkins, Brittany (Donald) Adkins, Natasha (John) Weiffenbach, Zachary (Alexis) Ganger, Crystal Ganger, Angel Ganger and Joshua Ganger; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Buddy was a 1951 graduate of Newton High School.  He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during the Korean War.  Buddy retired in 1995 as a foreman for Hobart Brothers and then spent 20 years at Honda of Troy.  He was a member of Troy Fish & Game.  Buddy was also a life member of American Rabbit Breeders Association, having an award named after him by the Miami County 4-H board, the Buddy Ganger Outstanding Rabbit Exhibitor Award.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Burial will follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown.  Friends may call from 12:00 – 2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
