Bruce D. Jackson Bruce D. Jackson, age 48, formerly of Troy, Ohio, more recently of Vandalia, Ohio, died on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at his residence. He was born on October 6, 1964 in Troy, to David B. and Esther Kerr Jackson of Troy. He is survived by his daughter, Sierra N. Jackson of Troy; sister, Susie Jackson of Hilliard, Ohio; girlfriend, Polly Loewer of Vandalia; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Max and Arlene Kerr, and Byron and Esther Jackson. Bruce was a 1983 graduate of Troy High School and a graduate of Sinclair College with an Associate of Applied Sciences in Criminal Justice. He attended Nashville United Church of Christ and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Bruce served with the campus police at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, and was formerly employed with the Miami County Sherriff's Office and the Covington Police Department. Services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, March 4, 2013 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Lynn Labs officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Grove Cemetery, Vandalia.
