Bruce E. Heffner, age 87, of Sidney, passed away on December 8, 2025 at Piqua Manor.  He was born on January 19, 1938 to late Robert E. Heffner, Sr. and Evelyn M. (Young) Heffner.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 62 years: Rhonda (Miller) Heffner; sister-in-law: Barb Treon; nieces: Vicki (Jan) Peebles, Cheryl (Tim) Jacobson, Becky (Mike) Stone, Mona (David) Wynn, Lori McGuire, Molly McGuire and Amy McGuire; nephews: Steve (Sandy) Heffner and Heather Utz, David (Eileen) Heffner and Mark (Robin) McGuire; other nieces and nephews; grandnephew: Thomas Peebles and numerous friends.  In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his brothers: Robert E. Heffner, Jr., Douglas L. Heffner and William R. Heffner.

Bruce was a 1956 graduate of Troy High School, a 1972 graduate of Mesa College and a 1974 graduate of Colorado State University.  He also served in the US Air Force from 1956 through 1962.  Bruce was a Northwestern Community Intern for the Colorado Centennial-Bicentennial Commission in 1976.  He retired from the State of Colorado Veterans Services and was a former newspaper sports writer/photographer in 1962 for the Troy Daily News.
