Bruce Barrett Bewley, 55, died at Hospice of Dayton, Wednesday, December 24, 2003. Mr. Bewley is survived by his mother, Mary Hartman Bewley and his wife of 23 years, Corrien C. Swift Bewley; daughters, Nancy Sorensen and Bobbie Peshek both of California; six grandchildren, Anthony, Benjamin, Crystelle, Robert, Brian and Jonathan; one great granddaughter, Elora; many cose cousins; many in-law family members in Ireland and England and co-workers and friends in California who loved him dearly. He was a member of First United Church of Christ, Troy, Ohio and was an eight year US Navy veteran. He was a graduate of Miami East High School; attended Anderson College, Anderson, IN. Mr. Bewley was a Materials Manager for Sisters of Providence/Summit Medical Center of California for 24 years and then relocated back to his family home to care for his mother. A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, December 28, 2003 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with private family interment in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. Close family and friends are welcome to come to the family home following the memorial service.
