Bridget Estelle "Gigi" (Verhoff) Burgei, age 62, of Troy, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit, Troy.  She was born on November 10, 1958 in Delphos to the late Charles Joseph and Susanna Ann (Humpert) Verhoff, Sr.  On May 15, 1982, she married Gary Lee Burgei and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Gigi is survived by three children: Andrew (Krystal) Burgei, Kaitlyn (Justin) Nicholson and Benjamin Burgei, all of Troy; three siblings: Charles (Ruth) Verhoff, Jr. of Delphos, Theodore (Sue) Verhoff of Ft. Jennings and Robert (Kathy) Verhoff of Columbus Grove; grandson: Kallen Wilson; and a granddaughter expected soon.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother: Eddie Verhoff.

Gigi was a 1977 graduate of Delphos St. Johns High School and a 1978 graduate of Apollo Nursing Academy.  She previously worked at M & R Drugs in Troy and at Cookson School in Troy for 20 years as an Intervention Aide.  Gigi loved to travel which included going to Europe with her husband and to London when her children performed in the New Year's Day Parade.  Some of the things Gigi enjoyed were working on projects with her family and friends and spending time with her grandkids.  Gigi's passion for ancestry fueled her love and devotion to family.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on October 9, 2021, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy.  Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on October 8, 2021, and for one hour prior to the mass at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
