Brenda Kay Burt, "aka Barefoot Mama", age 67, recently of St. Paris, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Koester Pavilion in Troy. She was born on June 15, 1954, in Sidney to the late Roscoe and Katherine (McDermit) Nichols.

Brenda is survived by five children: Terry (Dianna) Nichols, Ronnie (Ashley) Nichols, Carl (Debbie) Burt, Crystal (Jim) Barker and Joe (Elizabeth) Burt; three siblings: Wilma Nichols, Darrell (Sue) Nichols and Cindy Oakley; thirty eight grandchildren; many great grandchildren; long-term friend: Jane Petry; and former spouse: Roger Burt.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Carol Riley and Kathy Teague; and longtime partner: Mike Glynn.

Brenda was a 1972 graduate of Sidney High School.  Brenda loved spending time with her family and playing with all the grandkids.  She enjoyed being outside whenever possible, baking and her long-time hobby was her CB radio.  Brenda was employed in nursing homes over the years.

A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.
