Blodwen E. Quick passed away at the age of 92 on Thursday August 6, 2009. She was born on November 19, 1916 in Oak Hill, Ohio. Preceded in death by parents EffieWalke and William Hughes, husband Willard Quick, three brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by daughters Joan Mougey of Norwalk, Ohio, and Carol Randy Blackburn of Troy, Ohio, ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, several step grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She was a graduate of Oak Hill High School , Class of 1935. She enjoyed the yearly class reunions and attended until recently. She was employed for twenty-four years with Williams Manufacturing in Portsmouth, Ohio. She has been a resident of Troy since 1976. Blodwen has lived independently at Staunton Commons Apartments for nearly 25 years, and has many friends there. She will be remembered for her fun sense of humor and quick wit. She had a natural ability to make all of us, feel special, and we thank her for that. She knew the principles of the Bible, and lived them every day of her life. Her kind and generous spirit was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends Wednesday August 12th, 12 pm – 2pm.
