Billy "Bill" W. Swindell Billy "Bill" W. Swindell, age 77, of Troy, Ohio died Sunday, February 10, 2008 after a brief illness. He was born April 11, 1930 in Alexandria, Indiana to the late Dorothy Cook and William Swindell. Bill graduated from Troy High School in 1949 enjoying and excelling in the football program. He was an accomplished tool & dye maker in the Dayton area working at various shops including Riverside Tool & Dye and General Motors retiring from there in 1998. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia Ann Swindell, six children, Pamela Rees Steve, Douglas Swindell Victoria, William Swindell Mary, Richard Craig Swindell friend, Rachel and daughters, Leisa Quafisi Dino, Julie Williams Tim, and sister, Ruth Ann McDaniels, stepmother, Vera Swindell, eleven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He is further survived by one niece, 5 nephews, other relatives and many friends. Special pets, Patches and Lily also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Justin Rees, great-granddaughter, Bethany Rees, and brother, Jerry Swindell, sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy Wall, Betty and Vito Battaglia, Pauline Zee, and Jerry Zee. Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH is in charge of arrangements. Private services will be determined by the family. Bill was a wonderful, caring person in addition to a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
