Beulah Jean (Stevens) Bowers, age 93, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, surrounded by her family at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County in Troy. She was born on November 16, 1930, in Piqua, Ohio, to the late John E. Stevens, Sr. and Lucy Ellen (Springer) Stevens. She graduated from Piqua High School. Beulah married John J. Bowers in 1956, who preceded her in death in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her three brothers: John Stevens Jr, Loren Stevens and Jesse Stevens, and her sister, Alice (Stevens) Wertz.

Beulah is survived by her son, Tim (Keryn) Bowers of Mount Vernon, Ohio; daughter, Tammy Price of Troy; seven grandchildren: Brynne, Megan, Allison and Jon Bowers, Jessica (Tony) Hampton, Jasmine (Brian) Slagle, and Frank Price; and nine great-grandchildren: Austin, Alyssa, Gavin, Kaitlynn, Caleb, Hadley, Adalynn, Brylie and Grady.

Beulah was a beautician, and for many years co-owner of Opal's Beauty Shop, in Troy. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ (Troy) for over sixty years and loved serving her church by teaching Sunday School, visiting local nursing homes and providing haircuts and perms for the resident ladies, and even volunteering for the clown ministry.  She was a "people person" and made many good friends through the beauty shop and her church. Beulah loved to play table games with friends, grandkids, and great-grandkids. As a devoted wife, loving mom, grandma, great-grandma, and friend, she was always willing to share her talents and love with those she cared about. She will be missed.

Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Don Crist officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
