Betty L. Rhoades, 80, of Troy, Ohio and formerly of Holly Hill, Florida and Englewood, Ohio died on Thursday, August 4, 2005 at her residence. She was born on June 14, 1925 in Darke County, Ohio to the late Harold and Osie Shiverdecker Beekman. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert John Rhoades in 1995. She is survived by her two children, daughter and son-in-law; Beth E. and Stephen Cuff of Washington Court House, OH; and son and daughter-in-law; John K. and Gayle Bodle Rhoades of Longwood, Florida; sisters, Roberta J. Harold Grove of Frankfort, Maine and Beverly J. Beekman of DeLand, Florida; two grandchildren, Lauren and Mary Cuff and aunt, Helen Harter of Shawnee Hills, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She graduated from Versailles High School and Nursing School at City Hospital in Springfield, Ohio. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Troy, Ohio. She was a RN Nurse with Stouder Memorial Hospital, Troy, Ohio. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at 10:30AM at Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles, Ohio, with the Rev. Carol Bastin. Following the service, family and friends are welcome to a 12:00 Noon luncheon at the First United Church of Christ, 120 S. Market Street, Troy, Ohio. Contributions may be made to Charity of Choice.
