Betty L. Reed, age 76, of S. Daytona Beach, FL; formerly of Troy, OH died Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at her residence. She was born September 3, 1931 in Hardin County, TN, the daughter of William Taft and Bertha Franks Perry who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Miley J. "Jack" Reed in 1990. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Penny Reed of Fletcher, OH and her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Jeffery Bair of S. Daytona Beach, FL. Betty is also survived by brothers and sisters, William Perry, Bob Perry, Sue Story and Nancy Curtis all of Savannah, TN; four grandchildren; Sgt. Chad Reed, Amanda Reed, Hollie Huffman and Kristopher Bair; three great-grandchildren, Treton Reed, Alex Jenkins, and Alexis Bair. Betty attended the Troy Church of the Nazarene and she was a lifelong homemaker. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 11:30AM at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with Pastor Ken Van Hoose officiating. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30AM to 11:30AM Tuesday. Contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
