Betty Jean Arnett, age 83, of Tipp City, formerly of Troy, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the SpringMeade Healthcare Center.  She was born on July 25, 1933 in Sparta, TN to the late Elmore and Gusta Lee (Phifer) Ray.  Betty married James Leroy "Fireball" Arnett on December 16, 1967 in Covington, OH and he preceded her in death on November 15, 2012.

Betty is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy and Marvin Force and Shawna and Steve Burkholder; one son and daughter-in-law: Jeff and Sheila Arnett all of Troy; son-in-law:  Jim Kinler of Oregon; grandchildren: Chad Ullery, David Force, Ashley Hughes, Brittney Tyler, Nicci Bergseng, Sherry Kinler, and Michael Kinler and several great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter: Patricia Gale Kinler; grandson: Jamie Kinler and brother: Walter Ray.

Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Troy.  She enjoyed reading and cross-stiching.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Dale Christian officiating.  Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
