Betty L. Murphy, 68, of Casstown, Ohio and formerly of Springfield, OH died on Monday, November 20, 2006 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born on April 28, 1938 in Lee County, Kentucky to the late Stanley and Virginia Pelfrey Couch. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles R. Murphy; they married November 5, 1967 in Oakland, Maryland. She is also survived by brother, Stanley Couch of Beattyville, Kentucky; sisters, Irene Flinchum of Beattyville, Kentucky; Dopsey Terry of Texas; sister-in-law; Etta J. Paugh of Springfield, OH and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and three sisters. She was formerly employed with Clark County Welfare Department and Elderly United of Springfield for several years. Private family burial will be at Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio.
