Betty E. Moore, age 89, of Troy, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Troy Care and Rehabilitation Center, Troy.  She was born September 7, 1924 in Troy, OH to the late Charles and Minnie (Hansford) Chaney.  Betty married Walker J. Moore.  He preceded her in death on July 19, 1992

Betty is survived by three children: Charlotte Cruea of Piqua, Christopher E. Moore of Troy and Lisa A. Jones of Troy; three sisters: Kay Sherer of Troy, Mary Ellen Durst of Tipp City and Jean Avey of Troy; two brothers: Bill Chaney and Jerry Chaney both of Troy; seven grandchildren: Randy Cruea, Steve Cruea, Joey Cruea, Bill Moore, Stacy Jones, Chelsea Jones and Zachary Jones; and three great grandchildren: Adam, Adrian and Aubrey.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters and one grandson: Mark Cruea.

Betty worked at Zwiebel's Grocery and then became a longtime homemaker.

Services will be 1:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Charles Carnes officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  Friends may call from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
