Betty Lou (Spears) Kirk, age 80, of Casstown, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was born on September 16, 1941 in Troy to the late Floyd L. and Ruth Miriam (Pearson) Spears.

Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years: Thomas K. Kirk; children: Douglas (Rhea) Kirk, Daniel Kirk and Judith (Steve) Deal, all of Troy, and Dennis (Stacy) Kirk of Christiansburg; brothers and sisters: Mary Sue (Carl) Shoup of Casstown, Jerry Spears of Troy, Jane (Dennis) McDaniel of Alcony and sister-in-law: Nancy Spears; grandchildren: Justin Kirk, Katrina (Ryan) Miller, Nick (Crista) Kirk, Aaron (Kim) Deal, Heather Kirk, Kyle (Maria) Deal, Brandon Kirk, Jacob Kirk, Hannah Kirk and Elizabeth Deal; and great grandchildren: Savana, Devin, Cali, Easton, Laci, Gracelyn, Hudson and Elliott.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother: Howard (Mackey) Spears; and one great grandson: Aiden Deal.

Betty was a 1959 graduate of Troy High School.  She was a member of Lost Creek United Church of Christ.  She was also a member of Olivet Chapter 538 O.E.S.  Betty worked for Troy-Tipp Telephone and was a Miami East School Bus driver for 30+ years.  She loved her family, her dogs, casinos, garage sales, bingo and auctions.  Betty had a love for sports, particularly the Reds.  Most of all, she loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Baird Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Egbert officiating.  Family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the funeral home.  Interment will take place at Casstown Cemetery at the convenience of the family at a later date.
