Betty Mae Jones, age 75 of Troy died Friday, October 26 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton as a result of a fall at home. Born July 24, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio of the late, Lloyd and Dorothy Strayer Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carleton E. Jones Jr. in 1991; two sisters and one brother. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Carleton E. III and Marilyn Jones and daughters and son-in-law, Carol Ann Jones and Rosalind and Mark Yantis; sister, Nancy Elkin and brothers, Robert, Curtis, and Ross Thomas and four grandchildren, Meredith and Natalie Jones and Emily and Alex Yantis. Betty was a member of the Women of the Moose of Troy; North Dayton Support Group; volunteer with Upper Valley Medical Center and MOPS Mothers of Preschool at Ginghamsburg Church. She was a homemaker and child care provider.
