Obituary

Betty D. Fell Davisson, age 98, formerly of London, Washington Court House, and Mechanicsburg, Ohio and more recently of Spencerville, Ohio died Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Roselawn Manor, Spencerville, Ohio. She was born November 10, 1910 in Kester, West Virginia, the daughter of the late James William and Myrtle E. Hughes Damewood. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Dana Arthur Fell in 1980 and Kenneth E. Davisson in 2001; daughter, Neoma Ruth Montgomery; son, William Harold Fell; brothers, Wallace and Paul Damewood and sisters, Wanda Carroll, Ruth Stewart, and Madge Booth. Betty is survived by a son and two daughters-in-law, Norman and Virginia Fell of DeGraff, Ohio and Phyllis Fell of Spencerville, Ohio; three stepdaughters and two sons-in-law, Ann and Bob Baird of Troy, Ohio, Carol Davisson of Baltimore, Maryland, and Donna and Bob Hutchins of South Vienna, Ohio; six grandchildren, Diane Niemeyer, Carl Fell, Lynn Fell, Dorine Vogel, Beth Siegenthaler, and Douglas Fell and six step-grandchildren; Ten great-grandchlidren, Melissa Niemeyer, Nicole Niemeyer, Jason Headings, Jessica Anders, Adam and Ryan Fell, Andrew and Rachel Fell, Jamison and Jonathan Vogel and six step-great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, Andrew Russell and Brooklyn Niemeyer; brother and sister-in-law, Owen and Lora Damewood of Springfield, Ohio. Betty graduated from Chester High School, Chester, Ohio. She was a member of Nation Chapel United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was also active in Grange for most of her life. Betty was a homemaker; an avid quilter and formerly ran a poultry business in London and Washington Court House, Ohio. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in the Nation Chapel United Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg, Ohio with Rev. Cindee Johnson officiating. Burial will take place in Somerford Cemetery, Somerford Township, Ohio. Friends may call from 12:00PM NOON - 2:00PM Wednesday at the church.
