Betty Jane Demido, 81, of Marietta, Georgia, formerly of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 after and extended illness at the Marietta Health and Rehab Center, Marietta, Georgia. She was born on Feburary 21, 1923 in Sidney, Ohio to the late Cecil and Nona Gilmore Carey. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Michael Demido and one son, James Demido of Troy, Ohio. She has four grandchildren; Michael John Demido; Suzanne Frawley; James Demido and Elisha Demido. She also has three great-grandchildren, Christopher Frawley; Kyle and McKenna Demido. She is preceded in death by her parents; half-brother, Ralph Shroyer and half-sisters, Ruth Harris and Elva Brewer. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy, Ohio and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a graduate of Sidney High School, Sidney, Ohio. She was a retired Corporate Secretary from Champion Company, former Gum Products of Troy, Ohio. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio.
