Betty J. Anderson, 77, of Troy, Ohio passed away on Sun., May 4, 2003 at her son's residence in Troy. She was born December 9, 1925 to the late Raymond & Myrtle Smalley Schaefer. She is preceeded in death by her husband, John Anderson, whom she married in 1964. He passed away in 2002. She is survived by 3 children, Master Sgt. Mark W. Anderson and his wife, Katina of Troy; daughter Penny Kirby of Troy; and son Dean Hunter of Findley, Ohio. Mrs. Anderson has 6 grandchildren, Cory and Adam Anderson, Lisa & Kacie Kirby; and Tory & Allie Hunter. She is also survived by her step-mother, Florence Schaefer of Troy. She was a member of Casstown United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Chapter #256 for over 50 years, and a member of the retirees UAW Local # 128. Mrs. Anderson graduated from Lostcreek High School in 1943. She retired in 1987 after 32 years of service with the BF Goodrich Co., in Troy.
