Bessie Jane McDaniel, age 93, of Troy, OH passed away on July 11, 2023 at her home.  She was born on October 21, 1929 at the family farm in Elizabeth Township to Thomas and Bertha (Hann) Rosenbalm.

She is dearly missed and remembered by her three daughters: Michelle Hare (Tim Thompson), Monique Quillen (Glen) and Beth Green all of Troy; her grandchildren: Kevin Reynolds (Anna), Angela Hurley (Dillon), Kurtis Vance (Jo'Dawn), Kelli Wilker (Dustin), Stacey Green (Ric) and Cole Quillen; her great grandchildren: Kendall, Aria, Cohen, Colin, Kale, Cooper, Finn, Carson, Link and Roman.  She is survived by one brother: Lester Rosenbaum of Troy and special friend: Kathy McClelland. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years: Max L. McDaniel; siblings: William T. Rosenbalm, Mary Burnside (Dale), Laura Rosenbalm, James Rosenbalm (Janet) and Sarah Duff (Bob) and grandson: Christopher Hare.

She was a graduate of Elizabeth School in 1947.  She retired from Dinner Bell Foods after 36 ½ years.  She was a member of Crossroad Church of God in Piqua.  She liked to bowl and play cards. She enjoyed reading and going to plays at The Barn in the Park.  She loved a good K's hamburger.  She and Max spent many winters in McAllen, TX.  She loved hosting Christmas with her family at her home.  She was truly a fun and classy lady and a kind and loving mother.

Services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the Baird Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Hill officiating.  Interment will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, OH.  The family will receive friends from 11:00AM – 1:00PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
