BESS E. BROWN

Bess E. Brown, age 93, formerly of Troy, OH passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Covington Care Center, Covington, OH. She was born on May 2, 1921 in Troy to the late Harry and Anna (Wick) Jenkins. She was married to George E. Brown whom preceded her in death.

Bess is survived by her sons:  Dennis L. (Melody) Brown of Troy and Greggory (Cindy) Brown of Brookville; two grandchildren: Mindy (Matthew) Weschler of Raleigh, NC and Dawn Brown of West Milton, OH; two great-grandchildren: Hannah and Drew Weschler; brother:  Wayne Jenkins of Bradenton, FL; and sister: Barbara King of Springfield.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Bess was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

Bess was a graduate of Troy High School and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy. She was also a member of American Legion Post 43 in Troy, where she worked in membership for a number of years for the auxiliary.

Services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Baird Funeral Home , Troy with the Rev. Dave Leckrone officiating. Interment will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington, OH. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9-11 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
