Bernice Studebaker Smith, age 87, of Troy, Ohio died Sunday, October 29, 2006 at her residence. Born of the late Willie David Parks and Nettie Roberson Parks on July 5, 1919. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Roscoe Studebaker January 9, 1971 and five brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her second husband of 15 years, Robert Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Carol Sue and Thomas Beck; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce L. and Irma Studebaker; stepdaughters, Marydell Rogers, Jane Jacobs, and Betty Guerra; sister, Bertha Hunt; eight grandchildren, Walter Studebaker, Aaron Studebaker, Amanda Studebaker, Katie Studebaker, Macarena Studebaker, Morgan Studebaker, Michelle Moss, and Heather Beck, and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith attended the Grace Baptist Church, Troy, OH. She retired in 1990 as the Deputy Recorder for the Miami County Recorders Office.
