BERNICE A. SWINK, age 86, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at SpringMeade Health Center in Tipp City.  She was born on September 30, 1929 in Hamilton, OH to the late Winfield and Velva (Lakins) Scearse.

Bernice is survived by two daughters: Teresa (Phil) Steinbrugge of Troy and Lisa (Bryan Rosencrance) Campbell of Troy; two sons: David (Tamee) Elmore of Torrence, CA and Burney (Peg) Schwab of Fairfield, OH; brother: David (Eileen) Scearse of Herndon, VA; sister:  Debbie O'Neill of Hudson, OH; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her daughter: Dorothy Lynn Henninger; sisters: Dorothy and Shirley and brother: Vernon.

Bernice retired from Ohio Bell after 32 years of service.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00PM on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00PM at the funeral home.
