Bernice E. Markley, 80, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Sunday, January 11, 2004 at the Harborside Healthcare Center in Troy, Ohio. She was born on August 23, 1923 in Troy, Ohio to the late Ray and Ethel Doll Moist. She married Carson W. Markley and he passed in 1990. She has one child, Nick Markley of Troy, Ohio; two granddaughters. Yonnie Travis and Melissa Hill-Seifman and five great-grandchildren; Greg Hill; Benjamin Brigner; Shawn Travis; Terry Seifman and Emma Travis. Bernice was a member of the First Baptist Church, in Troy, Ohio; Order of Eastern Star Chapter #256; Past Grand Matron of the Amaranth; VFW Auxilliary #5436 and in charge of the Voice of Democracy Program for local schools sponsored through the VFW Post and Beta Sigma Phil Sorority. She was formerly employed as a Private Duty Nurse and had worked at WACO Aircraft. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Donors Choice of Charity.
