BENNIE HAMM, JR.

BENNIE HAMM, JR., age 83, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Sterling House of Troy.  He was born on June 22, 1931 in Bath, KY to the late Ben Hamm, Sr. and Mary Oda (Hunt) Hamm.  He was married to Betty Jane (Fair) Hamm for 52 years before her passing on August 20, 2004.

Bennie is survived by one daughter: Shirley Hamm of Troy; one brother: James Russell Hamm of GA; one sister: Alice King of Beach Grove, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents and his wife, Betty, Bennie was preceded in death by one grandson: Benjamin Steven Elleman; one brother: Berta Lee Hamm; and two sisters: Elizabeth Peyton and Francis Plank.

Bennie worked in the Security Office at General Motors for over 23 years.

Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Chaplain James D.
