Obituary

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN SPILLER, age 85, of Vandalia, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton.  He was born on July 23, 1931 in Dayton to the late Benjamin F. and Nellie K. (Snyder) Spiller.

Benjamin is survived by his three sons: Alan (Vonda) Spiller of Vandalia, Tim Spiller of Dayton and Jeff (Kathy) Thompson of Mountain Home, AR; one daughter: Debbie (Joe) Nagle of Piqua and eleven grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Benjamin was preceded in death in 2016 by his wife: Margaret Spiller and daughter: Gloria Patsfield.

Benjamin attended Stebbins High School in Dayton.  He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during the Korean War.  He was a machinist at Dayton Superior Products for 30 years.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor David Rusk officiating.  Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.  The family will receive friends from 9:30AM-10:30AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
