Benjamin C. Louthan Benjamin C. Louthan, age 93, of Covington, Ohio, formerly of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Covington Care Center. He was born on February 21, 1917 in Troy, Ohio to the late George and Alma Fetters Louthan. He was married to Susie Spears Louthan and she preceded him in death on August 14, 2000. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Sally and Roger Mote of Casstown, Ohio and Rebecca and Stanley Massingill of Huntsville, Ohio; grandchildren and their spouses: Charles V. and Mary Ann Mumford of Casstown, Ohio, Chad Mumford of Troy, Suzanne Call of Troy, Mark and Kimberly Williams of Florida, Kirk and Nancy Williams of Huber Heights, Ohio, Jerrod and Margie Williams of Florida; great-grandchildren: Tyler and Taylor Mumford of Casstown, Chelsea and Chase Mumford of Troy, Katie Williams of Florida, Ethan Williams of Florida and Justin and Jesse Williams of Tipp City, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Louthan was preceded in death by his brother, Chester Louthan and his sisters: Mabel Hill and Ruth Buchman. He was a 1935 graduate of Troy High School. He was a member of the Cove Springs Church, Cove Springs Grange and loved going to Presque Island in Northern Michigan for a number of years. He also enjoyed bowling and fishing and was a wonderful woodworker. He was a finished carpenter and had worked at Troy Lumber Company for many years. Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00PM on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
