Barton D. Demmitt, 47, of Somerset, KY passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born December 19, 1969 in Troy, OH to Donald Demmitt and Diane (Buirley) Yantis.

Bart is survived by his wife Alicia (Stamper) Demmitt, whom he married June 11, 2005; one stepson: Dustin Kaveney; daughter: Ambrozia; parents: Donald (Edie) Demmitt, Diana (Norman) Yantis, Grandmother: Sarah Buirley; two stepbrothers: John Baumann and Jeffrey Yantis; two stepsisters: Kelly Sargent and Rebecca Cron; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Donald E. Demmitt, Betty Hopper Demmitt, Clifford Buirley; and mother-in-law: Lisa Stamper.

Bart was an engineer at TTAI a division of Toyota in Somerset, KY from 2003-2017. He was previously employed at F & P of America, Troy, OH.

He was a graduate of Troy High School and ITT Tech of Dayton. Bart was a long time member of Troy View Church of God. Bart loved farming, being outdoors, hunting, his 5 dogs and listening to music.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 pm, Sunday September 24th, 2017 at True Life Community Church, 56 Foss Way, Troy, OH. The family will receive friends from 2– 4 pm prior to the service.
