Barry M. Coomes, age 65, of Troy, OH passed away on December 2, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital.  He was born on May 26, 1958 in Dayton to the late Clarence E. and Aliah (Shrewsbury) Coomes.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years of marriage: Barbara G. (Stager) Coomes; children: Trevor (Katelyn) Coomes of Troy, Bradley (Jenna) Coomes of Sidney and Cameron (Fiance' Brittany) Coomes of Xenia; grandchildren: Addison and Carter Coomes, and brother: Daniel (Karen) Coomes of FL.

Barry was a 1977 graduate of Miami East High School and attended Sinclair College.  He was employed with ITW-Hobart for over 40 years.  He served as varsity coach for Miami East baseball for fourteen years.  He was an avid baseball and softball player, fan of the Cincinnati Reds and enjoyed attending sporting events for family and friends. Most of all, he was a dedicated and loyal father to his three sons as they carried on his legacy of ball.  In most recent years, he loved his title of Papaw.

Services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.  Interment will take place in Casstown Cemetery with a luncheon to follow for family and friends.  The family will receive friends from 4:30-7:30PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
