Barbara Ann Christy Barbara Ann Christy, age 68, of Troy, Ohio, died at 8:46AM on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at her residence. She was born on September 5, 1940 in Troy, to the late Fred Leroy Gearheardt Sr. and Virginia May Avey Gearheardt. Her husband, William Henry Christy preceded her in death. She is survived by three children: Michelle Lynn Chaney of Cincinnati, Ohio, Marquita Dawn Christy of Troy and Leroy Shannon Monica Christy of Vandalia, Ohio; five grandchildren: Ceige Chaney, Marcus Allen Adams, Annie Adams and Courtney Ratcliff all of Troy and Brandon and Breanna Christy of Vandalia; and three great-grandchildren: Cory Mulinaro of Indianapolis, Indiana, Zane Chaney of Columbus, Ohio and Alexiah Adams of Troy. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fred L. Gearheardt. Barbara was a 1958 graduate of Troy High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Troy and enjoyed the Sunrise Center in Piqua, Ohio. She lived for her children and grandchildren and dedicated her life to the Lord. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Friday, October 31, 2008 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with the Rev. Robert McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
