Barbara J. Bevington Barbara J. Bevington, age 76, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 2:14AM Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born May 21, 1931 in Covington, Ohio, to the late Carl R. and Agnes Loxley Bevington. She was also preceded in death by one nephew, Kenneth Bevington. Barbara is survived by her special friend, Harry Richardson of Troy; brother, Dale Bevington of Troy; niece, Deborah Robert Edmiston of Croton, Ohio; nephew, Ronald Bevington of Troy, Ohio; great-nephews: Jason and Jeremy Bevington both of Columbus, Ohio and Joshua and Ben Bevington both of Troy; and great-niece, Angie Bevington of Tipp City, Ohio. She was a 1949 graduate of Troy High School and graduate of Manchester College, Manchester, Indiana. She was a member of Troy Church of the Brethren, Concord Grange, 4H Club for 25+ years and recipient of Farmer Bureau 4H Scholarship, and member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Retiring in 1985, Barbara taught in the Troy City School system for 29 years and also taught three years overseas in New Foundland, Japan and France. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Friday, February 8, 2008 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with the Rev. Sheila Shumaker officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
