Assunta R. Paine, age 80, of Covington, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.  She was born on August 15, 1943, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Gennaro James and Anastasia (Tedesco) Rizzo.

Assunta is survived by her husband of 57 years: Thomas Paine, Sr.; three children: Anastasia Paine of Piqua, April Paine of Covington and Thomas Paine, Jr. of Huntington, WV; brother: Gennaro James Rizzo, Jr. of Long Island, NY; and two grandchildren.

No public services will be held at this time.  Arrangements are being handled by Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
