Arthur Hobbs Arthur Hobbs, age 89, of Columbus, Ohio; formerly of Troy, Ohio died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 3:00AM at the West Park Nursing Home, Columbus, Ohio. He was born December 28, 1921 in Bigstone Gap, Virginia to the late Liff Hobbs and Mary Wells Hobbs. He is survived by one son, Larry Hobbs of Anchorage, Alaska and two daughters, Dianna Larry Wells of Grove City, Ohio and Linda Carol Lee of Dayton, Ohio; eight grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hobbs was preceded in death by two sisters, Delma Rasnick and Bonnie Baron. He was a member of the Troy Church of the Nazarene. He was a stationary engineer with American Hotel and retired from Dayton Board of Education after 21 years. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio with the Rev. Ronald Barber officiating.
