Dr. Arthur P. Daniel Dr. Arthur P. Daniel, age 93, of Kenwood, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011. He was born in Tiffin, Ohio on May 26, 1918, the son of Dr. Charles F. and Olga Hierholzer Daniel. On February 11, 1947 in Washington DC, he married Blanche Victoria Sparks Daniel who preceded him in death on March 6, 2000. Also preceding him in death are his son, Charles F. Daniel on August 10, 2007; two sisters, Ruth Cogan and Mildred Daniel; and four brothers: Gerald, Walter, Richard and Luke Daniel. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Jenny Daniel of Troy, Ohio and Edward and Barbara Daniel of Montgomery, Ohio; grandchildren: Scott and Erika Daniel of Williamsburg, Virginia, Kevin and Laura Daniel of Troy, Ohio, Erin Daniel of Anchorage, Alaska, Eric and Valentina Daniel of Naples, Italy, Mark and Amanda Daniel of Norfolk, Virginia and Leah Daniel of Montgomery, Ohio; great-granddaughter, Campbell Daniel of Williamsburg, Virginia; sisters, Lillian Savord of Sandusky, Ohio and Mary Ann Operish of Atlanta, Georgia; and brother, Charles J. Daniel of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dr. Daniel retired after 33 years of Family Practice in Ottawa, Ohio and was on the staff of both St. Rita's Medical Center and Lima Memorial Hospitals as well as Putnam County Coroner for 21 years. He was a graduate of the St. Louis University School of Medicine and served his internship and residency in Orthopedics at St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was a life member of the Lima Elks. During World War II, Dr. Daniel Captain served in the Army Medical Corps in Orthopedics at Crile General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio and Walter Reed Hospital in Washington DC. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, Ohio with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
