Obituary

Arlene M. Steinbrunner Arlene M. Steinbrunner, age 66, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. She was born on September 16, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to the late James and Rose Marie Geiger Harter. Her husband of 44 years, Charles F. Steinbrunner, survives. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Steinbrunner is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Cathy Steinbrunner of San Diego, California and Andrew and Tara Steinbrunner of Vandalia, Ohio; one daughter and son-in-law, Lara and Mark Brown of Huber Heights, Ohio; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Dennis and Judy Harter of Dayton, Ohio, Ken and Joan Harter of New Carlisle, Ohio; Greg and Tina Harter of West Chester, Ohio; and three grandchildren: Cory and Katie Brown and Brittany Meng. She was a graduate of Patterson Co-op, Dayton. Mrs. Steinbrunner was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy; a volunteer and former coordinator with survivors events for Relay for Life; and a volunteer with Alzheimer's events through Emery. She retired from Emery Worldwide, then was employed with Maria Joseph Center. She was a Breast Cancer Survivor and Kidney Transplant Recipient having received a kidney from Tara, her daughter-in-law. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, October 29, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 5-8PM on Thursday at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to American Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
