Arlene Durham, 88, passed away on July 30, 2020, at 6:49 p.m.  She was just shy of her 89th birthday.  In the end, she lost her fight with Covid 19 as it was just too much for this former breast cancer survivor to fight!  We take comfort in knowing that she is in heaven with the love of her life, Dick Durham who preceded her in death.

Arlene was the owner of the former City Kickers Western Outfitters western store, but most recently was retired from the Meijer store in Troy, Ohio, where she worked part time as a demonstrator in her advanced years.  She kept people entertained with her easy wit and warm and friendly personality.

She loved her family with a passion and was so proud of her two children, Dave Durham  (Nina Durham) of Troy, Ohio and Debra Cruikshank (Blake Cruikshank) of Casstown, Ohio.  She enjoyed the affection of her grandchildren, Holly Cress of Laura, Ohio, Krystal Covington of Troy, Ohio and Justin Bantz of Troy, Ohio.  She was blessed with many great grandchildren including Jordan Cress, Joel Cress, Hunter Covington, Erianna (Covington) Macklin, Xander Covington, Kiley Kitta, Delaney Covington, Cooper Covington, Layland Bantz, Alyssa Davenport, and a great granddaughter expected in October. Arlene lived life with abandon and never met a stranger.  She will be greatly missed!

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with Pastor Andy Warren officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio.  The family will receive friends between 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 , at the funeral home.
