ANTHONY W. FERGUSON

ANTHONY W. FERGUSON, age 55, of St. Paris passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield.  He was born in Troy on February 7, 1959 to Elizabeth (Adkins) Ferguson of St. Paris and the late Wayne Ferguson, Jr.  His wife of 28 years, Tina Sue (King) Ferguson, survives.

Tony is also survived by three sons: Dustin Anthony Wayne (Mandy) Ferguson of Miamisburg, Troy Denis Dean (Lorien) Ferguson of St. Paris and Joshua Andrew Haze (his girlfriend: Rachael Stradling) Ferguson of St. Paris; sisters, sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Sharon and Mark Oplinger of Englewood, FL, Theresa Hager of Mason, OH and Jana Ferguson of Troy, OH; four grandchildren: Lucas, Eli, Graham and Xavier Ferguson; cousin and best friend: John Rose of FL.  In addition to his father, Tony was preceded in death by his brother: Berry L. Ferguson.

Tony was a graduate of Miami East High School.  He had been employed at Navistar International in Springfield since 1995.  Tony had a passion for music throughout his entire life.  He was a talented song writer, singer and musician for the bands Amber, Silent Partner and Desert Star.  His musical legacy was continued through the management of his son's band New Haven.  He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, coach and friend.  His loving spirit touched many lives and his memory will be cherished by those he left behind.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with T.J. Rouch officiating.  Friends may visit from 5-7 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
