Anne Marie Overholser, age 89, of Troy, OH passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Clare Bridge-Brookdale in Troy.  She was born on November 25, 1928 in Columbus, OH to the late Leo Andrew and Agnes Elizabeth (Gorman) Guehl.  Anne was married to Harold E. "Shorty" Overholser and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1992.

Anne is survived by her children: Barbara (Robert) Delong of Littleton, CO

Michael (Georgia) Overholser of Troy; Susan Hyde of Post Falls, Idaho; Mary (Jack Jr.) Godwin of Troy; Mark (Mary) Overholser of North Chesterfield, Virginia; sixteen grandchildren: Lindsay Delong, Nevada, Zachary (Kim) Delong, Utah, Meredith (Matt) Reece, Colorado, Nici Cavender, Virginia, Jeremy Cavender, Troy, Eric Overholser, Tipp City, Paul (Kate) Hyde, Colorado, Seth (Kinder) Hyde, Idaho, Rachel (Larry) Lawrence, Troy, Jordan Godwin, Sidney, Kyle Godwin, Florida, Corey (Julie) Godwin, Florida, Ryan (Jessica) Godwin, Columbus, Matt (Jamie) Overholser, Florida, Melissa (Marc) Wittmeyer, Virginia and Michelle Overholser, Virginia; eighteen great grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Yvonne Chaney, Troy; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and her husband, Anne was preceded in death by her sisters: Catherine Patricia Gray and Mary Scott; and her brothers: Francis Michael Guehl, John Guehl, and Leo Guehl Jr.

Anne was a 1946 graduate of Troy High School.  She was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy.  She retired from AO Smith Company after 30 years of service. Anne volunteered at the Salvation Army in Troy for many years.  She also volunteered at Upper Valley Medical Center and St. Patrick Church.  Anne was a member of the Troy Elks Lodge and the Troy Moose Lodge.  She was an avid golfer.  Anne enjoyed her Tuesday night BINGO games.  She could be found many times watching OSU football or golf on TV.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy with Rev. Fr. Eric Bowman as Celebrant.  Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
