ANNA LOU GABBARD (A. L. Gabbard), age 85, of Troy, passed away on February 1, 2021 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.  She was born on October 26, 1935 in Livingston, TN to the late John and Emily (Richardson) Carter.

Anna is survived by children: Sharon (Dan) Saunders, Dallas Gabbard, Jr., Ronald Gabbard, Lisa Hoskins, Cynthia (Gary) Wallen and Susan Berger; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-six great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Dallas Gabbard; son: Donald Gabbard; daughter: Karen Jean Gabbard; and grandson: Taylor Holliday.

Anna was a great mother and amazing cook.  She loved playing Scrabble, reading her Bible, drinking her coffee and listening to her gospel music.  The most important things in her life were her Lord, her family and her church.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
