Obituary

Ann Lynette Wigdahl of Casstown, died Sunday, December 1, 2002 in Columbus, Ohio Survivors include parents, Howard and Jewell Campbell Widahl, three brothers, Capt. Alan J. Wigdahl of Korea, Jeffrey H. Wigdahl of Toledo, Lt. Erick W. Wigdahl and wife Stephanie of Langley AFB, Virginia and sister, Kimverly E. Wigdahl of St. Louis; grandmothers, Fern I. Wigdahl and Polly A. Campbell. Also surviving are a host of uncles and cousins, Attorneys, Lois and Gary Passarino of Santa Rosa, CA: Margaret and Alan Tupper of Citrus Heights, CA; Mary and John Hecht and family of Bozeman, MT; Barbara and Frank James and family of Lily, S. Dakota; James and Susan Wigdahl and family of Langford, SD; Robert and Beth Wigdahl and family of Langford, SD; maternal uncles and cousins, Goldie A. Jones and family of Georgetown, KY; Omer and Lena Landrum and family of Rowdy, KY: Carter and Gerri Campbell of Rowdy; Eugene C. Stevens and family of Lakeland, FL; David and Phyllis Campbell and family of Rowdy; Herman and Jean Campbell of Beattyville, KY. Ann was preceded in death by both grandfathers, William Wigdahl and Willis Campbell, and by Aunt Eddie K. Stevens, Uncles, Tivis Campbell and Speed Campbell. Ann was a 1993 honor grauate of Miami East High School; graduated with honors from Edison Community College with studies in Biological Sciences. She was a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Wright State University in Chemistry. She was a medical student at The Ohio State University with a grant for M.D. and PHD Degrees pursuing studies that could enable her to research help for autistic children. Ann was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and various other honor societies. Ann also endured the knowledge of chronic pain sufferers as she experienced pain that started from some sort of virus that quickly filled both lungs after coming off the soccer field at Miami East High during her junior year then ravaging her body system even more with time and activities. She mastered outstanding health and classroom knowledge, sports and music. Ann was a piano instructor for children; worked with autistic children locally and in Santa Rosa, CA. Services for Ann will be at 10:30Am Friday, Decemer 6, 2002 at First United Methodist Church, Troy, Ohio with Rev. Dr. James C. Wilson II and Rev. Sandra Huber officiating. Interment will be in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio. The family requests that contributions be made to the Ann Wigdahl Memorial Fund at the Miami East School providing for children with special needs or the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund for the children's music program.
