Ann Blackmore Rowell, age 46, died August 14, 2004 at her residence in Apopka, Florida, a cancer victim from March 8, 2004 to August 14, 2004. Ann was born September 9, 1957 in Troy, Ohio to father, Robert Blackmore and mother, Jean Tecklenburg Blackmore who both reside in Troy. Ann is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Sharon Blackmore; Steve Blackmore and David and Ruthan Blackmore all of Troy; sisters and brother-in-law, Rita and Paul West of Hinsdale, Ill and Jane Hum of West Chester, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Stephenie Hum Lake and Laura Hum of West Chester, Ohio; Merideth, Jared, Bradley, Brian and Tom Blackmore all of Troy, OH; Kevin West of Chicago and David West of Washington, DC and her fiance', George Wallace of Apopka, Florida. Ann had been affiliated with the Nature Conservancy of Florida as a meeting planner. Since 1990, Ann was President of Wallace Fence Company in Apopka, Florida. Ann was known for her love of horses. She was a 4-H member of the Trojan Horse Club in Troy and competed in horse shows in Ohio, New York and Florida. In Florida, she had a small horse farm, but had final plans to move to North Carolina and build a complex for boarding and training horses. A memorial funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy at 10:30am Saturday, September 11, 2004, Rev. Fr. Jim Duell officiating. Family will recieve friends following the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Baird Funeral Home, Troy are in charge of local arrangements.
