Anetha Marie Green, 80, of Troy, Ohio passed away on May 14, 2025 with family by her side at her home.  She was born on July 21, 1944 in Brown County, Indiana to the late Ira and Cecil (Sullivan) Flood.

Anetha is preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Earl Green of Kirklin, IN after celebrating 46 years of marriage.  Her surviving family are children:  Randy (Lori) Green, Annette (Ryan) Bowen, granddaughters Alyssa Green-Scheid, Rachel (Ben) Walter, Makenzie Bowen and great grandsons Colton Scheid and Elijah Walter.

Anetha's family moved from Brown County, IN to Lebanon, IN when she was a child.  She was the eldest daughter and one of six children.  She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1962.

She married her best friend and love of her life, Raymond (Ray) Green on July 3rd, 1965 and moved the next day settling family roots in Troy, Ohio where her husband had been relocated for his job.  Her and Ray joined the First United Methodist Church in Troy where many of their life friendships flourished.

Anetha worked at Erwin Chrysler for 26 years as an office/title clerk and another 10 years spent at AO Smith Electrical Products, where she retired in March of 2009.  Although she worked for many years, she always put her family first.

Anetha loved spending time with family and friends and was a huge presence in all the lives she touched.  She was a fun loving, smart and sassy gal.  She loved the people that came into her life and making fun memories with all.  Her proudest accomplishment was raising her family and being able to see her grandchildren grow through the years.  She loved taking trips and seeing new places, however, just being able to surround herself with family and friends that were woven into her life brought her the most joy.  She did not let the last 6 years on dialysis slow her down at all.  She lived her life to the fullest adding fun and laughter wherever she went.

Some words of advice she has for her friends and loved ones is to; "Put GOD first and everything else second, and you will be fine", "It's all about GOD, Family, and Friends", and "Keep making fun memories, as in the end, that is all that really matters".

There will be a private family service with a celebration of life to follow from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM on May 31, 2025 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
