Alvin L. Love Alvin L. Love, 76, of Troy, Ohio, passed away after an extended illness at 7:50AM on Friday, January 18, 2008 at SpringMeade Health Center, Tipp City, Ohio. He was born November 30, 1931 in Los Angeles, CA, to the late Timothy and Caroline Bailey Love. His wife of 49 years, Carol Ann Somers Love, survives. In addition to his wife, Carol, Mr. Love is survived by three daughters: Suzanne Tom Peterson of Corona, CA, Lisa Schelin of Troy, OH and Juliene Love-Bamsey of Huntington Beach, CA; eight grandchildren: Nicole Cody Jones of Troy, Stephanie Jonathan Denlinger of Gettysburg, OH, Erin Schelin of Troy, OH, Kevin and Jennifer Peterson both of Corona, CA, Jessica Georgie Catalano of Huntington Beach, CA and Brittney and Craig Bamsey both of Huntington Beach, CA; and two great-grandchildren: Emma and Benjamin Denlinger of Gettysburg, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Mr. Love was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth and Norman Love. Mr. Love served in the US Air Force during the Korean War and he retired from AT&T after 33 years of service. A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Pam Linderson, Chaplain, officiating. Friends may call from 2-4PM Sunday at the funeral home.
