Allen E. Easterday, age 93, of Troy, OH passed away and entered into the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on August 15, 2025, at his residence. He was born on May 16, 1932, in Angola, IN to the late Samuel Vern and Evilo (McNabb) Easterday.
He is survived by his wife of almost 20 years: Terri (Rhoads) Easterday; his children: Penny (Donald) Waite of NC, Pamela (David) Fulton of SC, William (Rosie) Easterday of IN, Michael (Tempe) Easterday of NV, Wesley (Jessica) Easterday of FL, Sarah (Paul) Crow of MS, Luke (Donna) Betzner of NM, Micah (Sarah) Betzner of VA; thirty-two grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Arlene Zongker, daughter Sheila Easterday Howell, son-in-law Michael Primm, brother and sister-in-law Lloyd (Donna) Easterday, sister and brother-in-law Laverne (Ralph) Erbe.
Allen received a Bachelor of Science degree from Tri-State University in Angola, IN. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Allen was a member of the Troy Baptist Church, served as deacon in multiple churches and was instrumental in starting and directing two Awana programs. Before retirement he worked for the Department of Defense as a certified fraud auditor. Of note, he received the presidential award from President Ronald Reagan for his outstanding service.
Family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Troy Baptist Church with a service to follow at 4:00 PM. Graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Circle Cemetery in Hudson, IN.
