Alice G. Hopkins Alice G. Hopkins, age 77, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 6:15PM on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born on January 31, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Dale A. and Alice L. Rietdyk Gift. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Jennifer E. Jack Romick of Troy and Sandra L. Dale Martin of Parkland, Florida; one son and daughter-in-law, Van H. Krista Hopkins of Centerville, Ohio; and seven grandchildren: Alison and Alexandra Martin, Van "V.J.", Connor and Darin Hopkins and Jasmine and Josie Romick. Alice was a graduate of Fairview High School, class of 1950 and a member of the "Aces High" Sorority at the high school. She was also an avid bowler. For many years, she worked as an office manager at Marion Bowling Lanes in Huber Heights. Alice loved and cherished her grandkids. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. A memorial visitation for friends and family will be held from 6:00-8:00PM on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
