Alexander Schelkun, 89, of Troy, Ohio died on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the Caldwell House, Troy, Ohio. He was born on April 21, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Andrew and Julia Hurnovich Schelkun. He married Mary F. Ross, and she precedes him in death, October 24, 1987. He is survived by his children, Sons & Daughters-in-law; Thomas L. & Lana Schelkun of Troy, OH; Dr. Steven & Sue Schelkun of Coronado, CA; David & Sue Schelkun of New Philadelphia, OH; and brother & sister-in-law; Peter & Millie Schelkun of Milwaukee, WI; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; 3 brothers, John, Harry and Fred; and 1 sister, Catherine Schelkun. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He graduated from Pershing High School, Detroit, Michigan in 1934. He retired from B.F. Goodrich, Troy, Ohio after 27 years as a valued engineer. There will be a private service at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio.
