Albert J. Long, age 83 of Troy died unexpectedly Saturday, December 9, 2000. Mr. Long was born of the late, Harry and Minnie Gray Long and was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary I. Sphar Long; daughters and sons-in-law, Diana J. Long; Carol L. and Tony Galloway and Patty A. and Paul Unger and one grandson, John Unger. Mr. Long was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy; life member and past commander of the VFW Post No. 5436 and WWII US Army Veteran. He was retired from Brown Bridge after 20 years of service in 1982.
