Alan K. Southerland, age 26, of Troy, OH passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at his residence.  He was born on February 24, 1990 in Johnson City, TN to Douglas L. and Joan F. (Schick) Southerland of Troy.

In addition to his parents, Alan is survived by his maternal grandparents: Leo and Louise Schick of Auburn, MI; brothers: Brian P. Southerland of Houghton, MI; Kevin T. (Erin) Southerland of Pittsburgh, PA; Aaron M. Southerland of Troy; sister: Kathleen M. (Brian) Stafford of Troy and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Lealan R. Southerland and Patricia L. Gosnell and aunt: Mary C. Cook.

Alan was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, OH with the Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating.  Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00PM on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
