Aileen E. Schmidt, 96, of Troy, Ohio died on Friday, October 28, 2005 at her residence. She was born November 16, 1908 in Brantford, Ontario to the late George and Ethel Brown Riddolls. She married Louis Xavier Schmidt, and he precedes her in death, May 14, 1982. She is survived by her two children, daughter, Jacqueline Schmidt of Troy, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law; Louis and Kathleen Schmidt of Sidney, Ohio, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two children, Aileen R. Morales and Ian McDonald Schmidt; two brothers, Wilfred and Winston Riddolls, and one sister, Beverly Hanson. Aileen held numerous leadership roles including fundraising with the Lansing Symphony, Matinee Musical, and the Community Theatre in Lansing, Michigan. She was formerly active with the Albuquerque Symphony Guild, the Federation of Music Clubs, and the Daughters of the British Empire in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, November 7, 2005 at the Sidney First United Methodist Church, 230 E. Poplar Street, Sidney, Ohio with the Rev. Dr. Chris Heckaman.
